Good beginnings lead to

greater growth.

Toddlers

Here, toddlers are immersed in a language-rich environment, essential for developing both understanding others and expressing themselves. They’re exposed to books, stories, songs, and poems that encourage them to express their thoughts, ask questions, and explore new ideas—all of which fosters cognitive growth. They also build fine-motor skills and problem-solving strategies that undergird the foundation for lifelong learning. Your child will also learn impulse control and build confidence through an emphasis on social-emotional development. The class size is limited to 10-12 children with two or three teachers to make sure each toddler gets the attention and support they need.

Two-year-olds

At this age, language skills are rapidly developing. To support this growth, we provide word-rich classrooms filled with opportunities to explore and learn. Most of the day children choose from activities that build fine motor skills, visual discernment, cognitive reasoning, and other emerging abilities. Students will also enjoy teacher-guided lessons in color, letter, and shape recognition and math vocabulary. Beyond academics, the year is focused on developing the social skills needed for negotiating peer relationships, sharing, and communicating feelings. Classes have two teachers and usually about 12 students.

Three-year-olds

In year three, we work on developing critical and creative thinking, as well as the skills essential for academic success later on. Teachers and hands-on activities help your child grasp math concepts and phonics, while building vocabulary and problem-solving skills—always focusing on experiential learning rather than rote memorization. Other activities build executive functioning like flexible thinking, cooperation, following directions, and focusing on a task. All of these experiences are differentiated and fine-tuned based on each child’s readiness and learning style.

Pre-Kindergarten

For our Pre-K students, we continue to build on academics, social skills, and critical thinking. Academically, your child will further develop their vocabulary, writing and letter formation, rhyming, phonics, reading readiness, and writing. They’ll also develop an awareness of measurement, numbers and operations, geometry and spatial sense, and patterns and relationships. Socially, they’ll improve their speaking and listening skills, while also building character and developing moral awareness. All this in a learning environment stocked with activities and hands-on materials that encourage problem-solving, judgment, and reasoning.

Kindergarten

Children at this age are ready to begin work on a broader academic foundation. So, we provide deep, purposeful learning in literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, social and moral development, and the arts. Students enjoy a classroom balanced with hands-on, playful discovery and directed instruction that reinforces the alphabet and sounds, improves writing skills, and builds fluency and comprehension. Similarly, math is taught through a multisensory approach covering topics like counting, graphing, sorting and classifying. In either case, your child becomes actively involved, making discoveries, and preparing themselves for what’s next, be it first grade or another year or kindergarten.
